Summer Reading Club Kick-off Parties

Four branches are hosting Summer Reading Club Kick-off parties the first week of June. Activities will include a climbing wall, face painting, snow cones and more. All ages are welcome to attend. Get details on the kick-off parties. If you haven't signed up for Summer Reading Club yet, you can register online or at your local branch. 
Free Lunch _ SLCL
Free Summer Lunches

Starting June 6, six SLCL branches will offer a nutritious lunch along with activities for kids from 12:00-1:00 p.m., Monday-Friday. On Fridays, kids will get pizza as a special treat. Meals will be available free of charge for children ages 2-18.  The free lunch program take place at the following branches: Florissant Valley, Indian Trails, Jamestown Bluffs, Lewis & Clark, Rock Road and Weber Road. Lunch service will be offered June 6-August 12. Please call 314-994-3300 for more information. The program is a partnership with Operation Food Search.
Urban Sustainability Series
Urban Sustainability Series

This month SLCL is hosting urban sustainability workshops at three branches. Topics include growing organic vegetables, how to attract pollinators, and tips on how to "green up" your backyard. The series is sponsored by the Sustainable Backyard Tour. Get the full workshop schedule.

Construction Update

Progress is underway at the five branches closed for construction. The Samuel C. Sachs Branch and the Oak Bend Branch are furthest along in the construction process. Photos, project details and a sneak peak at the color scheme at these locations can be found on the Your Library Renewed webpage . The branches currently closed for construction are expected to reopen in late summer or early fall of 2016.
