Immunotherapy for malignant pleural mesothelioma.

The past year has witnessed truly stunning progress in mesothelioma research.  A new immunotherapy drug that targets malignant pleural mesothelioma has shown promise in early trial results.  In less than six months, tumors shrunk in nearly 75% of participants receiving this experimental medication.  The need for life-extending treatments, and ideally a cure, is more imminent than ever.  The Pacific Mesothelioma Center (PMC), under the auspices of the Pacific Heart, Lung & Blood Institute (PHLBI), is proud to be on the forefront of the search for cutting edge medical solutions - including immunotherapy - to combat this devastating disease.   Read More.

Mid-Century Soiree featuring Frank Worth's Hollywood Golden Age Photography & Silent Auction 
Over 260 people attended the Mid-Century Soiree and Communal Wine Dinner at Le Petit Paris on March 24th, 2016.  The soiree included wine tasting by  LA Wine Tasting, 
music,and delicious French cuisine by

Mad Hatter Tea Party at the SLS Hotel:Beverly Hills Celebrates PMC Donors 
                                                                           
The Pacific Mesothelioma Center threw a Mad Hatter  Tea   Party   April 23rd, 2016  at the SLS Hotel: Beverly Hills in honor of our donors.  

The event was a fun affair with tea , a hat competition, opportunity drawings, and musical entertainment.  Many thanks to our sponsors Stick and Stones Floral Design for the beautiful floral arrangements and Hollywood Hatters for donating an array of tea party hats. View more photos here.

PMC Now Offering a Caregiver Support Group 
This February PMC held its first monthly caregivers support group meeting.  The support group led by PMC Nurse Practitioner Lien Hua-Feng and Sonia Jarvis-Bayek was created to give caregivers of mesothelioma patients an outlet to ask questions, share stories, and release difficult emotions If you would like to join the support group or simply sit in on a meeting please  click here.
