' on May 14 from 6-8:30 p.m. at Mike Tyson's former Las Vegas residence, the Marroccofella Estate (6740 Tomiyasu Lane). This year's event, sporting a Main Event theme, is hosted by Alex Parndeki, featuring a selection of fine wines, delicious hors d'oevres, and a silent auction - a perfect way to support Alzheimer's programs and research.
Tickets are $50 each or two for $80 and can be purchased online (snvwtr16.eventbrite.com) or at the door. For more information or to purchase tickets over the phone, call 702-248-2770.
All proceeds from the event benefit the Alzheimer's Association's mission, providing local programs and services as well as supporting latest efforts in Alzheimer's research. Alzheimer's disease is the sixth-leading cause of death in the United States, with one in three seniors dying with Alzheimer's or another dementia. The Alzheimer's Association is the world's largest nonprofit funder of Alzheimer's research, acting as a catalyst of scientific progress and a convener of the field's leading researchers.
"The money we raise here has a meaningful, positive impact on local families in our community," shared Albert Chavez, Desert Southwest Chapter Southern Nevada Regional Director. "The Alzheimer's Association is addressing this global epidemic by providing education and support to the millions who face dementia every day. '
A Wine to Remember
' allows people to support our critical work while enjoying good wine in a beautiful location with other community-minded leaders."
'A Wine to Remember' is part of Affinity Gaming's 2016 corporate citizenship commitment and partnership with the Alzheimer's Association to contribute at least $100,000 across the regional chapters where its 11 casinos are operated in Southern and Northern Nevada, Colorado, Missouri and Iowa. The yearlong partnership also includes Affinity Gaming being a primary sponsor and participating in signature Alzheimer's Association events, including its Education Conference and the Walk to End Alzheimer's. This pledge is the largest single corporate contribution to the regional chapter of the Association.
