Comedy, drama, history, and romance:  Bernard Slade's Same Time Next Year, provides a fascinating - and often very funny - look at two ordinary people who grow and change over an extended period of time.

Doris and George, both married to others, meet at a remote inn in 1951 and begin an unusual affair that lasts over 25 years.   Although they are together only once a year, and their relationship is definitely sexual, over the passage of time they develop an emotional intimacy that transcends the physical aspects of their liaison - during their times together they discuss the various issues they are experiencing in their own lives, as well as the social, moral, and political changes that are affecting them, and those around them.

In The Realistic Joneses, we meet Bob and Jennifer and their new neighbors, John and Pony, two suburban couples who have even more in common than their identical homes and their shared last names. As their relationships begin to irrevocably intertwine, the Joneses must decide between their idyllic fantasies and their imperfect realities.

"Plays as funny and moving, as wonderful and weird as The Realistic Joneses, by Will Eno, do not appear often on Broadway. Or ever, really."The New York Times

Based on the classic 1989 film, this hilarious, heartfelt and homicidal new musical relives the greatest teen comedy of all time. It is the story of Veronica Sawyer, a brainy, beautiful teenage misfit who hustles her way into the most powerful and ruthless clique at Westerberg High: the Heathers. But before she can get comfortable atop the high school food chain, Veronica falls in love with the dangerously sexy new kid at school. With its moving love story and laugh-out-loud comedy, the musical takes an unflinching look at the joys and anguish of high school.

Final Weekend!
Get ready to die laughing!

This hilarious spoof in the best of Agatha Christie traditions is set in a country manor house in the 1930s, with an assembled cast of characters guaranteed to delight - Bunting the butler;  an English Colonel with the prerequisite stiff upper lip;  a shady art dealer and his moll;  and the bumbling police inspector and a well-meaning local sleuth who seems to attract murder wherever she goes - they're all here, and all caught up in the side-splitting antics which follow the mysterious death of the house's owner.  It soon becomes clear that the murderer isn't finished yet!
But... will the murderer be unmasked before everyone else has met their doom - or will audiences die laughing first?

Richard O'Brien's The Rocky Horror Show is an outrageous assemblage of - and humorous tribute to - the most stereotypical science fiction and horror movies, Marvel comics, Frankie Avalon/Annette Funicello outings and rock 'n' roll of every vintage. The play (upon which the classic film The Rocky Horror Picture Show is based) has grown from an experimental production originally produced in a small London theatre in June 1973, to a cult phenomenon with fans world-wide.  The musical tells the story of a newly engaged couple who, when caught in a storm, find refuge in the home of a decidedly unusual scientist who is madly working towards unveiling his latest and greatest creation.

Evening Star Productions, in partnership with Infinite Abyss will present The Rocky Horror Show at The Abyss Stage from May 12th through May 28th.    Evening Star Productions' Rosalie Grant, and Abyss Stage's Erynn Dalton will share the directing duties along with Chris Bare as Film Director.  Read more HERE!

CHAOS THEORY: UNBROKEN

South Florida's most prolific poetry group in their first full presentation

Solo, duet, and trio combinations of poetry and performance will come together when Chaos Theory: Unbroken is performed at the Main Street Playhouse in Miami Lakes, on May 20th and 21st. Conundrum Stages will present the prominent poetic ensemble in an exciting stand-alone showcase of material the group has composed since its inception in 2008.
Chaos Theory is a collective comprised of several of South Florida's most dynamic spoken word artists. The group was created in 2008 by poets Mr. Rigz (Reagan Mendoza) and Raff Adams (Adam Freilich). It has since grown with the addition of Flow Diva (Rachel Finley), Anon De-Evolution (Jean Marcellot), and Mori Taiye.

The poets of Chaos Theory each come from different ethnic, socioeconomic, religious, educational and cultural backgrounds. Their personal interests, points of view and styles are as diverse as any group of individuals can be. Yet they have found a way to use all their combined life experiences to create a brand of poetry that is honest, bold, vibrant and soulful. Individually and collectively, they perform nationally, from university stages to packed poetry clubs. Some notable performances and accolades have been: NBC, WSVN/FOX, NPR, University of Miami, University of Illinois-Chicago, Duke University, University of Wisconsin-Madison, University of Minnesota-St. Paul, The National Poetry Slam and Festival, Miami Book Fair International, South Florida's Lit Walk and many others.
