Have you thought about a scarecrow for this year?  Will you be making a new one or bringing back an old friend?  With this being such a big year (remember it is Cambria's 150th Anniversary and the cows are coming) we want to really wow the visitors.  Team Scarecrow is working hard on getting the word out near and far and we might even have a surprise or two.  So, don't be caught at the last minute not knowing what scarecrow you will be showcasing.  If you will be placing a scarecrow from a previous festival, take a minute to check it out to make sure it is ready for its close-up.  After all, just like us, scarecrows need a bit of sprucing up now and then.  But, if you want to do something new, there is no time like the present to start thinking, gathering any materials you might need and gathering some friends to help out.

If you follow the Cambria Scarecrow Facebook page, no introductions are necessary.  You already know what an amazing talent Michele Sherman is.  When it comes to documenting the Scarecrow Festival, our beautiful area and many of the wonderful business owners and residents, there is no one we would rather turn to than Michele.  While the majority of her posts reach thousands of people, one of her recent post shocked even Michele: over   65,000 people saw that single video post!

And, now she has taken on another huge challenge!  She will be going around to those businesses that have signed on to be Friends of the Cambria Scarecrow Festival, meeting with the owners/managers and taking a ton of photos so she can share the amazing story of that business on our Facebook page.

And, if you see Michele around town, say hello.  You will receive a huge smile in return.

An example of Michele's amazing photography!
