Important Information on Health Status of Rodent Colonies

Through multiple discussions between the stakeholders and considerable deliberation, it has been agreed to allow mice positive for Helicobacter and/or Mouse norovirus to enter the Jupiter vivaria. This decision will not affect the mouse colonies housed at the Boca Raton facilities. The IACUC with guidance from the Attending Veterinarian will develop policies and Veterinary Services will implement procedural measures to avoid transmission of the contagious agents to other vivaria.

Please do not hesitate to contact Daniel Flynn, Ph.D., or Sylvia Gografe, DVM, Ph.D., at  sgografe@fau.edu  with any questions you might have concerning this matter.
