Nominate someone for the 2017
Christi Anderson Personal Innovation Award

Last year at our conference we introduced The Christi Anderson Personal Innovation Award - a scholarship in honor of Christi Anderson, an IWL Board Member who left us too soon. Christi was passionate about helping other women in leadership and we honor Christi by awarding this scholarship every year to a woman who is looking to innovate herself, to be better and do better - just like Christi did, and who could benefit from the financial assistance to do so. What better way to honor a life than to affect change in another's?

If you know of someone you believe would benefit from this $2,500 scholarship and is someone of character with the same motivation of helping others and pursuing her dreams, please nominate them using this nomination form.

We will be taking nominations now through July 29th, 2016. The Christi Anderson Personal Innovation Award winner will be invited to attend our IWL Women's Leadership Conference on August 23, 2016 at the Indianapolis Marriott East and will be recognized on stage. For more information about the award please visit our website. Also hear from our 2015 Award Winner, Laura Apple, about what this scholarship means to her.

IWL Blog Highlight: What are you serving as a leader?
by, Hope Zoeller,  Founder and President of  HOPE

Margaret J. Wheatley said, "Without reflection, we go blindly on our way, creating more unintended consequences, and failing to achieve anything useful." Take a moment and ask yourself, what are you serving as a leader? If you answer this question with brutal honesty, you will arrive at the core of your intention or motivation as a leader.

In my coaching work, I see a real struggle between being a servant leader and a self-serving one. Some leaders do not perceive a quick enough "return on investment" in being a servant leader; this is especially true when the organizational culture doesn't seem to value servant leadership.
