The charming Maple Tree Gallery, located at 225 W. Main
Street, offers shoppers a unique collection of custom frames, lamps, local art, and other gifts that is complemented by a team of passionate and dedicated employees. The business itself
was established over twenty-five years ago simply as a frame shop on Lebanon Road - the name
for the shop came
from the large maple tree growing in the front yard. The
business then moved to 4th Street in downtown Danville (next to the old Freddie's), and it re-located again in the '90s to Main Street, where it sits today.
J
ulie and Ben Nelson, currently the fourth owners of Maple Tree Gallery are celebrating their 10th anniversary as the owners of the store. The Nelson's purchased the business on May 1, 2006 and have since dedicated themselves to continuing its success and expanding its selection of goods and services. Certain aspects of the business have remained the same, such as the tradition of custom framing, as well as lamp repair. The Nelsons have also worked hard to incorporate innovations like the display of local artwork and Julie has gotten into creating custom lamps, like her recent Harry Potter themed-creation.
The gallery also has a special addition in Rosebud (right), a lovable and obedient canine who symbolizes the friendliness and
attention this business proudly provides to its range of new and long-time loyal customers.
Maple Tree Gallery is open Monday-Friday 10 AM to 5:30 PM and Saturday 10 AM to 4:30 PM. You can learn more at their Facebook page by clicking
