2016 Log Cabin Meeting - May 4, 2016
Northern Alberta Pioneers and Descendants Association, 9430 Scona Rd NW, Edmonton, AB T6E 3W4

The City of Edmonton, Landscape Alberta and the Urban Development Institute invite you to a refreshed version of the Log Cabin Meeting. We believe that we all share a desire to make Edmonton great. We recognize that there is room for improvement - for all.

This year we are trying something new! Instead of sitting and listening to a couple people, we will have a morning of practical conversation. Come with things you want to talk about, or questions you might have and we will set you up to talk about them. The goal of this meeting is to come up with tangible ideas for improvement for the short and long term. We want your perspective and ideas on how to continually improve landscaping inspections and engineering drawing reviews.

Please join us - with everything you want to talk about when it comes to landscaping inspections and engineering drawing reviews.

Bissell Centre's Employment Services Program
Through the vision to eliminate poverty in our community, Bissell Centre's work is based on building relationships, hope and trust to empower people to move from poverty to prosperity.

With over 20 years of experience, Bissell Centre's Employment Services Program continues to change the lives of people living in poverty through employment support. They connect daily and temporary workers with employers through a variety of job placements, offer skills training and pre-employment support programs, provide referrals of job ready participants who fit an employer's need, and collaborate with companies to understand their hiring needs.

On average, Bissell Centre's Employment Services Program provides over 14,000 job placements and brings over 1 million dollars every year for people in poverty through its labour.

Access to short-term unskilled labour can be very valuable to many companies in the landscape industry. The Bissell Centre provides access to casual labour when you might need it most. For more information about the program, please visit:   http://www.bissellcentre.org/individual/employmentservices/
