New Jersey native Dawn Heavens resolved to volunteer more this year. And did she ever! When she received an email about the Project Coordinator leadership program, she decided it was time for a change. 

iconectiv Connects with Brave Children

Much respect is always due to our men and women serving overseas, but sometimes we forget the families whose lives are greatly affected by the displacement of a mother or a father. Volunteers from iconectiv recognized that the children and families of those serving overseas deserve recognition for their bravery. With that in mind, these volunteers assembled seventy-one Bravery Award Kits to lift the spirits of children whose mothers or fathers are currently serving abroad. The kits included fun items like lollipops, rubber duckies, notebooks, and more. The iconectiv volunteers also added a personal touch by writing thank you notes to the children for showing great courage. Our sincere thanks go out to these amazing volunteers!
