Remembering Nepal - One Year Later

Please join  a remembrance ceremony to support Nepal on the one year anniversary of one of the two devastating earthquakes in 2015.  During the event, Colorado Coalition for Nepal will be joining together to host a panel of speakers to discuss not only the successes, but also the challenges faced by the nonprofit community while helping to rebuild, and how to effectively and efficiently move forward from the devastation that occurred.  Following the panel will be a remembrance ceremony commemorating those whose lives were lost and those affected by the earthquakes.  Nepalese food and drinks will be served. Free to the public although donations to the collective effort of these organizations is suggested. Click here for more information and to get tickets. 
Win $5,000 and help Dar Si Hmad

Dar Si Hmad (DSH) manages a network of fog nets that collect and disseminate fresh water to landlocked communities in Southwest Morocco.Your challenge is to develop a model that will predict the yield of DSH's fog nets for every day during an evaluation period, using historical data about meteorological conditions and the fog net installations. First prize will win $5,000. There is also a concurrent visualization challenge with a first prize of $2,000. Click here to find out more.

Join in this summer as they bring together talented individuals from sectors like tech and business to work alongside international development professionals to "hack" real challenges faced by people in the communities where Posner  organizations work. Clara Vista Internships

Clara Vista is currently looking for a Marketing and Communications Intern and a Coordinator Intern for the summer. Clara Vista works with community leaders to establish goals, identify root issues, prioritize needs, build relationships with local stakeholders, develop holistic solutions, and monitor community development. They are currently focused in the coastal village of Venado, Guanacaste, Costa Rica as a proof-of-concept of their framework and have high hopes of scaling up to nearby communities and even communities across the globe.
