Wood River High School Music Students Win Awards: More Than 165 Locals Enter California Competition
Wood River High School ensembles and individual students brought home 10 awards for ensembles, plus five individual awards from the Heritage Music Festival in Anaheim, California.

Volunteers Needed
Volunteers are needed for Freshmen Boards at Wood River High School on April 26, May 10, May 12 and May 17. Freshmen students will present their proposals for their Personal Project. Read more.

Hemingway Students Spread Earth Day Message
Hemingway teacher Susan Thoreson wrote, "Students were given blank brown paper sacks from the local grocery stores. They designed colorful Earth Day messages in class. Then the sacks were returned to the stores to be used throughout the weekend to help spread the Earth Day message: "Take good care of our planet."

Do The Right Thing
The City of Hailey Fire and Police Departments, together with the Blaine County School District, invite you to nominate a student for Do The Right Thing. The program is designed to reinforce positive behavior among youth in the community. Founded in Miami, Florida, the program spread nationwide and now recognizes thousands of youth each month for positive behavior. The newest chapter of Do The Right Thing in Hailey, Idaho is the first in Idaho.
The program is accepting nominations on the
City of Hailey website. An easy and brief nomination form can be found on the main website for the City of Hailey. The next deadline for nominations is Tuesday, May 3. Any student from any school in Blaine County can be nominated.

Syringa Mountain School
At the request of Syringa Mountain School, the Board will consider the academic, operational and financial impact on the Blaine County School District if the Board votes to make Syringa Mountain School part of the district. The meeting is open to the public and public comment is welcome. Or, email your Board of Trustees
