Mr. Leiser was a dedicated science teacher at York Catholic for 23 years, and had a great influence on many of his senior students.  He battled cancer during his last year of teaching and passed away nine years ago.  Mr. Leiser's family created the Stephen M. Leiser Scholarship in his memory and often presents this award at the Awards Ceremony at the end of the school year.  Please help to keep Mr. Leiser's spirit alive by your contribution to this mission collection.

We are proud of our seniors!

Any senior who missed the deadline should bring their surveys and letters to Mrs. Gick on  Monday, May 9.  We will make a copy of your letters for you and you can keep the original.

Students Explore Marine Science

As part of the new Marine Science class, students were given the opportunity to head to Wallops Island, VA to turn their knowledge into application.  Eleven students explored the intertidal zone, used instruments on a boat, and even met a clearnose skate from trawling.  Though the weather was cold, the students had a fun time and enjoyed the experience.

Students Compete in Envirothon
Junior High students, Auggie Weisser, Gavin Bonner, Wesley Bonner, Ella Stevenson, and Christine Catterall participated in the 2016 York County Envirothon competition. The students listened as a guest speaker explained the benefits of raising local chickens, with the help of some fluffy assistants.  Rain or shine the competition takes place every year as a venue for students to learn more about our environment and the many ways we fit into the equation. Last week, our senior high team also competed against teams across York County.
