Twin Oaks Shelter for the Homeless is Walworth County's only 24/7 sh
elter, and it relies on private donations for program operations, facility maintenance and the general cost of providing a pathway out of poverty.
Twin Oaks provides more than basic housing: our team also practices in-depth case management to teach residents how to break the cycle of poverty. While at Twin Oaks, residents learn about financial literacy, landlord-tenant relationships, and parenting skills. We also help address potential obstacles they may have to finding and keeping a job. We believe that housing is only one part of the solution for homeless families.
