Duball Wins MEDA Award
Local developer Duball LLC was awarded the Maryland Economic Devleopment Association (MEDA) Economic Development Project of the Year Award for its impact on the City of Rockville by transforming the space where a struggling suburban mall once stood into a thriving downtown destination.

Located in the heart of Rockville Town Center, the Upton Apartments and Cambria Hotel & Suites, offers a variety of employment opportunities, housing availability and significant revenue that enhances services for Rockville residents. REDI nominated Duball LLC for this award.

With 263 luxury apartments, The Upton residential portion has a long list of amenities including floor-to-ceiling windows, an outdoor pool and sundeck, a fitness center, a rootop deck, and concierge services. Adjacent to the residences, the 140-room Cambria Hotel & Suites offers visitors a first-class experience with an indoor heated pool and fitness center, on-site dining, and multiple meeting rooms perfect for small events. The project was developed by Duball Rockville, LLC, a joint venture between affiliates of Duball LLC and CIM Urban Real Estate Fund, LP.
Set to open this month, the ground level features 17,000 square feet of retail space with tenants including Old Line Bank, Supercuts, and World of Beer.

Congratulations to Duball, The Upton, Cambria Suites, Choice and the City of Rockville!
