WOW!
What is that?
There will be a Wow card in the pew on Sunday. You'll be asked to write down what Jesus would say "Wow" about at Christ Church if he were to appear to day.  This is part of our ongoing desire to discover what we are doing right, what we want to do more of, and what great ideas and dreams we might attempt for our future at Christ Church together.

Please take a look at the card and fill it out. You'll have time during the service for that.  You can fill out as many cards as you like.  Every member of your family (regardless of age) is welcome to fill out cards and hand them to the ushers. We will also have boxes in the narthex and in the Prevost cloiste r.

Then look for what we have learned in coming weeks! I f you have questions or suggestions about the WOW card, please contact Shay Craig at or 847-650-8653.

"Benito Bonanza"
Companionship Dinner Thursday, May 12 - 6:00PM
Join us as we honor Bishop Benito from our companion diocese in South East Mexico. Everyone is invited to be in companionship, sharing a common dish, reading a common reflection and saying a common prayer.  As an entire community we can act together despite busy schedules and rushed lives.

Our common dish will be an authentic Mexican meal  that is suitable for children, gourmets, and those with sensitive palates created by the fabulous Tamale Express known for its long lines at the Evanston Farmer's Market.
  • Can't make dinner at Church on the Hill?  Buy the same meal for take-out.
  • Gift a meal with others - or parishioners who are shut-ins.  Purchase as many meals as you wish.
Help achieve our goal - ALL sharing the same meal in companionship with our friends in SE Mexico.

Unique Opportunity : Following the dinner, at 7:00 we will hear briefly from +Benito and from the Latino Union who will speak to us on their work providing services to those from Mexico (including +Benito's Diocese) who work as nannies, housekeepers, and landscapers in the Chicagoland community.

The theology of confirmation is diverse. Confirmation was once a sacrament that concluded the initiation process of a new Christian.  Today, confirmation is viewed as a mature reaffirmation of the baptismal covenant.  Here at Christ Church we talk to our youth about confirmation as the first milestone in a lifelong, adult journey of faith.

Saving Your Grand Receipts Helps
Support Youth Mission Trip
This is a slam-dunk fundraiser because we all shop at our wonderful local grocery store (some a lot more frequently than others.) The Grand Food Center (Winnetka & Glencoe) has agreed to sponsor our mission trip and you can help!  Save all your receipts and place them in the labeled collection cans in the Prevost Cloister, McClain Room, Youth Ministry credenza, and church office.  The Grand will give us 3% of all money spent at their store (before taxes).  This will be an ongoing endeavor so that we can build a base for scholarships and offset travel costs.  We appreciate your support!

Thank you! Thank you! Thank You! We earned $517 in March & April.

NEW Volunteer Opportunity at A Just Harvest for
Families with Younger Children
Beginning May 14th,  AJH will begin a new food distribution program of select pantry items and produce from the local farmers' market for their patrons, on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of each month. This program is in addition to AJH's daily meals mission.

AJH will need volunteers to help distribute the items from 2:30-4PM on the select Saturdays.  This is a wonderful volunteer opportunity for children who are too young to serve dinner at AJH.  Of course, all ages are welcome to help distribute pantry and produce!

If you are able to volunteer, please contact Suzie Peregrine , Jenny Smith or Christine Peterson. Click here to SIGN UP!.

Thank you for your time and dedication to this ministry!
