Diving Deeper Into A Well Rounded Yoga Practice
May 2016 - Foundations of Yoga and Ayurveda
Discover the Foundations of Yoga and Ayurveda

Most Americans practice different forms of Hatha Yoga
(the physical asanas or movements of yoga). There are a wide variety of styles, traditions, and lineages of Hatha Yoga. Whether in a fast or slow moving class, with restorative or challenging poses, everyone needs to focus more fully on conscious breathing which allows us to be drawn deeper and deeper into the inner aspects of our being - not just the physical body.

Because yoga is so much more than just movement! This month, encompassing the full picture of yoga we take an Ayurvedic look at who we really are, what our habits are, what constitutes our personality type. From this point we will then create movements and other essential practices to help us balance our bodies, minds, and overall lives, so that we can practice living in balance, happiness and peace.
