Donor Spotlight: New Automotive Scholarships
Two new groups have stepped forward to provide annual scholarships to students in the Automotive Department.

Oregon Mini Society
The Oregon Mini Society was established in 1989, in Portland, and now has more than100 active members from southern Washington, Bend, Bandon, Brookings and beyond. The mission of the club is to encourage the preservation and enjoyment of the classic Mini, foster participation and goodwill among the members, and ensure that all their Minis are ministered to. The club is about looking after one another, having fun with an automotive piece of history and being a community of individuals with a particular, if peculiar, love of our little cars.

The scholarship provides for students interested in pursuing a diploma focused in Automotive Service Technology or Collision Repair & Refinishing Technology.

Oregon Regional Porsche Club of America
The first official meeting of the Porsche Club of America was held September of 1955 in Alexandria, Virginia. The original 12 became 64, and also became the Potomac Region. As membership grew, new regions began forming all across the United States. The Oregon Region celebrated its 50th anniversary in July 2010, and now has more than 800 members not including affiliate members. One thing has remained constant, "enthusiasm for the marque and pride in the enthusiasts themselves".

The scholarship provides financial support for students in the Automotive Technology-Imports specialty.

May 7 is the forest friends' final adventure of the season. Bring your kids to help the creatures sort out the mystery of Rita's missing shoes. Are they ruby slippers? Should Luna give them back? Is it finders keepers? Is that fair?
We'll find out.
