Captain America: Ultimate Guide to the First Avenger. Meet him, play trivia, and revel in the fandom
TOMORROW, Wednesday, May 4th at 6:30 PM. All ages are welcome and costumes are encouraged though not required.

Celebrate the importance of reading to and with your kids this spring. Submit your photos of your family "booking" some time together by the end of Children's Book Week on Friday, May 7.
Parents, grandparents or guardians can email a picture of you reading with or to your child/children to
Miss Heide. Photos will be displayed in the library, on our social media and website with your consent.

What's the Buzz?
Charlie Koenen, inventor of the Beepod, will present on bees and why they are critical to our communities. Charlie will take a look at the insects themselves, illustrate the importance of bees as pollinators, and discuss how you can better protect our bumbling buddies. He will also touch on how to become a beekeeper, complete with resources and tips. Question and answer session to follow the presentation.

Coloring Club
Connect over coloring at Shorewood Library and our neighboring Whitefish Bay Library this month. Color with us to your heart's content every second Thursday of the month here in Shorewood and the fourth Thursday in Whitefish Bay! Explore your creative side with mindful coloring and art techniques while enjoying good company and music. We'll provide materials and coloring sheets - you provide the fun.

A monthly update from the Friends of Shorewood Public Library
The Friends of Shorewood Library have long had a close working relationship with library administration. In recent years, we've added a library staff liaison - Hayley Johnson, Community & Adult Services Librarian - to board meetings to help foster the Friends' role in supporting programming. The Friends' relationship with the library director remains vital, however, and the Friends are excited to begin a new journey with Library Director Rachel Collins.
Making Shorewood a stronger community - one library patron at a time - drives Collins.
By adding this passion to her years of experience and Shorewood's rich library tradition, Collins has made a smooth transition to her new role. The Friends of Shorewood Library look forward to working closely with Collins as she seeks to promote the library's mission.
