Oh what adventures The Turks & Caicos Explorer II has had since December 2015!  Two new John Deere engines to make those crossings from West Caicos to French Cay smooth and speedy, an extraordinary Humpback Whale season in The Dominican Republic, and now finally back at the home port on Providenciales, Turks & Caicos Islands.  Welcome back TCEXII and crew!  Let's go diving!

Due to popular demand in this wonderful destination, our partner in the Maldives, Carpe Diem Maldives Pvt. Ltd., decided to expand the fleet by adding another vessel and low and behold - The Carpe Novo Explorer was born!  She was custom built during 2015 taking care to address every fine detail to create a beautiful and comfortable scuba liveaboard. The Carpe Novo Explorer set sail for her inaugural voyage earlier this month and is partnering with local foundations such as The Maldives Whale Shark Research Program to offer our guests some very unique scuba diving charters.

We were so pleased and honored to be recognized by CNN Travel last week for being one of the most luxurious dive boats in the world!  Fred Garth writes, "Perhaps the most unique aspect of the 125-foot Carpe Vita is its 60-foot dive tender called a dhoni.  It keeps divers dry and comfy going to and from the mothership to dive sites.  Many liveaboards have support boats to access sites with tricky anchorages, but this one ups the game with a full bath and hot shower.  It also houses all of the dive gear and compressor systems.   That way, the Carpe Vita can focus on cushy lounges, hot tubs and large cabins."
