Obesity increases the risk for heart disease and stroke, yet one third of adults in North Dakota are obese (32.2%, 2014). Nationally over the last 4 years, North Dakota went from middle of the pack (ranking 24th, where 1=highest obesity rate) to ranking ninth highest among all 50 states in regards to the adult obesity rate in 2014.Read more.
