Weekly Update -  Week of Mother's Day

Happy week of Mother's Day!

 

The best thing about this week is that we get to celebrate Mothers. Mothers deserve to have everyday be about them, but they would be the last ones to ask for that. We are so thankful for mothers and we all better show our parents some extra love this Sunday!

 

Everything about this week is amazing. As a student ministry we take our next step in our series Occupy All Streets. Last week we watched as Carl Lentz taught from God's word about how we can Occupy Planted. This was a lesson on being the best child of God wherever you find yourself. As young adults in Altoona, Iowa we get to be Jesus to everyone around us as we are planted right here, right now.

 

This week we really begin to feel the end of the school year quickly approaching. Our seniors are down to their final three weeks and everyone else is right behind them! This is the best time for our ministry to really begin to take off.

 

I am excited to announce our brand new ministry teams! We have 5 different ministry teams available for you all to join. There will be a sign-out sheet passed around on Wednesday night! The 5 teams are as follows: Worship, Production, Events/ Outreach, VIP, and Small Groups.

Your Leadership Team will be the leaders of these different teams. If you choose to sign up for one of these teams, you will join those leaders in making our ministry even better. This is a great opportunity for us to make great relationships while we reach out to our friends and those in our community!
