At their meeting Tuesday, the Alamo Colleges' Board of Trustees approved a plan for the strategic and operational integration of Alamo Colleges and Project QUEST and authorized the negotiation of a memorandum of understanding to implement the plan.
"Leaders from the Alamo Colleges and Project QUEST have identified strategic and operational opportunities to generate greater efficiencies within our respective organizations and to better serve our shared customers," said Alamo Colleges' Chancellor Dr. Bruce Leslie. "Our long-time collaboration has never been at a truly strategic level, which is something that this new plan will address," he added.
The Alamo Colleges and Project QUEST focus on the same three primary customers-students, employers and the community. Alamo Colleges' students enrolled through Project QUEST programs have superior outcomes to those students not served by Project QUEST. This enhanced partnership will offer greater opportunities for the Alamo Colleges to provide students with a career path and support in an integrated manner.
