TACCA Update
2015 IECC and 2015 IRC, Chapter 11
Register now to attend training workshops on the 2015 International Residential Code (IRC), Chapter 11 for residential construction and the 2015 International Energy Conservation Code for commercial construction.
These 3-hour workshops will be offered in 25 cities throughout the state from February to August 2016. Builders, architects, building officials, energy engineers, contractors, inspectors, building suppliers and others affected by these changes are invited attend.
These workshops are free of charge and each attendee will receive a copy of the 2015 IECC codebook as well as reference materials highlighting the building energy code changes.

TDLR and PSI are searching for willing applicants to serve as Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) for the Air Conditioning and Refrigeration industry. PSI is the current vendor which is under contract to develop and administer examinations for TDLR. SMEs are responsible for the review and evaluation of all HVAC exam content, questions and exam reference lists. If you are interested in applying you should have a broad-based knowledge of the technical aspects of the profession and a familiarity with current techniques, standards and materials. If you would like to be considered as a SME,

. Attendance will be required to the upcoming meeting which will take place on August 2-4, 2016, and successful applicants must be willing to sign a confidentiality agreement regarding exam content. The positions of Subject Matter Experts are voluntary and all applications are reviewed by the Education and Examination Division. These are not paid positions. All applications must be received by June 3, 2016. TDLR and the citizens of the State of Texas would like to thank you for considering this opportunity for service.
