Technical Instructions

We will be using the Shindig platform , which will allow us to have an active video  discussion with small breakout groups.  To participate in the discussion, you will need:
  • a laptop or desktop computer
  • a video camera and microphone on your computer. If you do not have a video camera and microphone, you can still attend and listen.
  • a high speed internet connection (if you share a home connection with family members, perhaps they can let you use the entire bandwidth for the hour)
  • a headset is highly recommended
There is a Shindig tablet application on the Android and Apple stores that will allow you to view the presentation, but which limits your participation to asking questions of the speaker in text. We strongly encourage that if you wish to fully participate in the audience discussion or ask a question of the speaker in video chat that you use a computer.

If you have technical problems or questions, please visit our FAQ page.

Looking forward to a great discussion!
