The Summer Library Program kicks off in one week!   Visit the library starting Monday, June 13th to pick up your summer reading log. Reading logs are available for all ages.

Classes and programs for all ages have been planned for the summer.  For a full list of events, check out the Library Calendar!

The Summer Library Program is sponsored by the Friends of the Watertown Public Library.

Geocaching for Families
Intro to Geocaching

Geocaching: a game in which players are given the  coordinates of a hidden item which they search for with a GPS device such as a smartphone.

Come learn about this fun, outdoor family activity.  Get and introduction to the Geocaching App, learn tips and tricks, and get entered to win a Geocaching door prize.

Small Business Breakfast Series
Have you ever dreamed of starting your own business?  Are you already running a business? Whether you are just starting out, are a current small business owner or curious about small business ownership, the Library's Small Business Breakfast Series is for you!

Join us Wednesday mornings from 8:00-9:00am for coffee, bagels and breakfast snacks while you learn, discuss and network.

June 29th - Effective Business Plans

July 6th - Free Online Courses

July 13th - How to Start a Business - Financial Aspects 

July 20th -  Low Cost / No Cost Marketing Tips

Digging with Dinosaurs
Have you ever wondered what it was like to be an archaeologist and discover fossils? Now's your chance! 

Let's kick off the Summer Reading Program with Roary the Dinosaur -- join us for some digging, exploring and investigating!

Monday, June 13th from 3:00-5:00pm, All Ages!

Pajama-Rama
Here is your chance to wear your pajamas to the library! Join us for a literacy night full of stories, songs, snacks and more! Come dressed in your coziest pajamas and bring your favorite stuffed animal friend.

Teen Events
Battle of the Books
Interested in participating with a team to answer questions on 10 books you collectively read? Then sign up for our BOB (Battle of the Books) competition today! 

BOB begins June 8th from 3:30-4:30, and will meet weekly at the same time here at the library. When you sign up, you will be given a list of 10 books.  Along with a group of 4 others (you can come with a group or be put on one) you will read the books and practice questions each week here at the library.  The final competition teams from other county libraries will be held on July 27th right in town at WHS! 

YAAH Mini Golf!
Be sure you sign up for this popular event as it fills up quite quickly! There will be teams made up once you arrive, so bring a friend or two to play mini-golf all throughout the library! There will be snacks as well, of course! June 18th from 6:00-8:00 pm!

Painting Night
Painting at the Library!
Tues., July 19 at 5:30pm

Come to the library for an  evening  of painting!
Participants will complete a painting from start to finish with artist and teacher, Kris Schumacher of Art on the Town. No painting experience needed.

Join Maria Gracia for Zumba at the Library!

You don't have to know how to dance, be coordinated or worry about difficult moves.  Just show up, get a great workout and have a blast!

Exercise clothes and shoes, and a bottle of water are recommended. Families welcome!
