This unusual mahogany Dutch drinks cooler is of the early 1800s in the Louis XVI taste. The decoration is typical for the style and period with tendrils, leaves, and flowers covering the top, leaves, and aprons. Further, the case is detailed with fluting on the aprons as well as stop fluted French-taste legs.
A central oval lid lifts to reveal a tin liner (refitted) for holding ice to cool drinks and glassware. Corkscrews and other bits fit neatly into the slender long drawer below (also faced with fluting).
I hope you will consider this gem for your upcoming event this weekend. However, you might act quickly as I have just one.
   H. 29", w. 30", d. 20", leaves add 4.5" each. $1800.

Hard to find, the Charles II dark oak chests were made often in two sections for ease of movement. Their early date, circa 1650 reflects Baroque taste for massivity and boldness. Please examine the individual images to inspect the exceptional molding work and turned, applied mitered moldings fully covering the facade. Note here that later facings cover the original plain straight feet.
A great find for your home. h. 35.5", w. 37", d. 22".  Do not hesitate to spoil yourself on this holiday! $3200.
