Fiction Fridays
Today is Fiction Friday! One of our favorite summer promotions is
Fiction Fridays -- that's 15% off fiction purchases in the store, every Friday, all summer long. Okay, it's not technically summer yet, but we're kicking it off today, and the weather couldn't feel more appropriate. Come by and pick up some weekend reading.
Need some summer reading ideas? Harvard Book Store's Rachel Cass recently joined other area booksellers with some suggestions on "
6 must-read books for summer"on
boston.com.
Calling all kids and families!
On Saturday, June 4th, the folks who bring you the Boston Book Festival are taking over Boston's Copley Square for the second annual Hubbub festival. Hubbub is a celebration of creativity, inventiveness, and exploration for children ages zero to twelve and their families.
Just announced this week: the bestselling author of the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series, Jeff Kinney, will be the literary headliner at Hubbub on June 4th! Jeff's free presentation, to be followed by a book sales and a signing, will take place at 12:30pm at Old South Church, 645 Boylston in Boston. You'll hear about Jeff's history of persevering through failure to find phenomenal success, get his tips on navigating the choppy waters of middle school, and maybe even find out what Greg Heffley will be up to next when Diary of a Wimpy Kid 11: Double Down comes out this fall.
Find details about the Jeff Kinney keynote ("Calling All Wimps!") and more Hubbub events here.
