Punch on the Porch
Sign Up Today!
Punch on the Porch begins next Sunday, June 5! A few early Sundays still need volunteers. Click here to sign up now.

This is a wonderful fellowship opportunity after the 8:30 or 11:00 a.m. worship service on the portico from June through September. All supplies are provided; simply add your smile and hospitality. It's a great way to get to know our members during the summer.

If you have questions, please contact Steve Kennedy at [email protected].

Meet Our Mission Co-Worker
Next Sunday, June 5, during the Sunday School hour, we welcome the Rev. Elmarie Parker for her presentation "The Shape of Hope in Iraq, Syria, and Lebanon." Rev. Parker serves as a Presbyterian Church (USA) Associate for Ecumenical Partnerships in the role of Regional Liaison to Church Partners in Iraq, Syria and Lebanon. She will lead a discussion regarding current conditions in the region where they work and live, along with how these conditions (including ISIS) are impacting PC(USA) Partners and their continuing work of worship and ministry. Bring your questions and come ready to hear the witness received firsthand from local church leaders on the ground in these areas of conflict and chaos. Location: Vance Barron Hall.

For more information about adult ministries and education at UPC, please contact Kate, Associate Pastor for Adult Ministries, at [email protected].

Montreat Worship and Music Family Meeting

Montreat Worship and Music Family Meeting will be next Sunday, June 5, from 9:45-10:45 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall. For the meeting, singers and their parents should bring completed forms and their final payment for the conference, which is June 19-25, 2016.

For more information, contact Beth Auman Visser at [email protected].

Takeout Church Boxes

As we turn our thoughts toward summer, we may find ourselves out of town on a Sunday morning and throughout the week. Takeout Church Boxes (white pizza boxes) are available in the narthex and by the Henderson Street door for families with children who are three-years-old through fifth grade.

Boxes include activities that can be used for faith formation throughout the summer, wherever you may be. Store the box under a seat in your car so that you can easily find it on vacation or when you need some rainy day activities. May the activities found in the box be meaningful and fun ways for you to explore and experience God's love this summer. One box per family, please.

For questions, contact Nancy Myer, Staff Associate for Children's Ministries, at [email protected].

Congregational Retreat

All are invited to join the UPC Family at Montreat September 16-18, 2016 for our first annual Congregational Retreat "Guide My Feet!" We'll explore the theme and take time to worship, play and pray together.

Click here to learn more about the retreat and to register online.  Check out #UPCCHretreat on social media for updates!
