June 2016: Issue No. 7
Dear Fairview Library Community,

Welcome once again to Fairview Public Library's monthly newslet ter.  Every June feels like an accomplishment; you finally made it to the last day of school, the longest day of the year, the first day of summer.  Pat yourself on the back, you did it! While you bask in the sunshine, make sure to take a break and visit the library this summer.  There are many programs for children and adults.  Not to mention an endless amount of entertainment and information - from our book and media collections inside  the library to digital magazines, streaming films and music and so much more! Relax, unwind and enjoy the library this summer whether you are poolside or inside.

Reflections

Daffodil time
is past. This is
summer, summer!
the heart says,
and not even the full of it.
No doubts
are permitted-
though they will come
and may
before our time
overwhelm us.
We are only mortal
but being mortal
can defy our fate.
We may
by an outside chance
even win! We do not
look to see
jonquils and violets
come again
but there are,
still,
the roses! - William Carlos Williams, from the Ivy Crown
