Passage to Plymouth offers Boston Tourists a Car-Free Visit
to America's Hometown

Plymouth & Brockton Street Railway Co. to offer motor coach and
America's Hometown Shuttle package for Boston tourists this summer

PLYMOUTH, MA (May 17, 2016) - The Pilgrims took the first "shuttle" to Plymouth on the Mayflower, and now Boston tourists and residents can explore the historical attractions of America's Hometown via the Passage to Plymouth program. Offered by Plymouth & Brockton Street Railway Co. (P&B), the Passage to Plymouth includes a convenient motor coach ride to Plymouth which connects with the America's Hometown Shuttle for a narrated tour of the town and its historical attractions. The service will run from June 25th to August 28th (excluding July 4th and August 27th).

The daily Passage to Plymouth experience will begin at 8:15am at South Station Bus Terminal (700 Atlantic Avenue), where passengers can purchase tickets at the P&B counter (rates below). After a relaxing hour-long motor coach ride, passengers will disembark and board the America's Hometown Shuttle, a vintage-style trolley awaiting them at the Park & Ride Lot on Route 3 in Plymouth. America's Hometown Shuttle tickets are offered at discounted rates for Passage to Plymouth riders at their booth located near Plymouth Rock.

Once onboard the trolley, passengers will hear stories about the arrival of the Mayflower, the trials and triumphs of the Pilgrims, and the Native Americans who were already here. They'll visit and learn about the Plymouth waterfront and all of it's historic must-sees, including Plymouth Rock, the Mayflower II, Plimoth Plantation, Pilgrim Hall Museum and Memorial Hall, 1820 Courthouse, Mayflower Society House, Leyden Street, Burial Hill, Brewster Gardens, the Plimoth  Grist Mill, The National Monument to the Forefathers, and Plymouth Beach.

Passengers who purchase an All Day ticket can hop on and off at any of the trolley's stops to spend more time exploring museums and attractions, or to visit Plymouth's waterfront shops and restaurants.

At the end of the day, Passage to Plymouth passengers will meet the trolley at the Plymouth Rock/Mayflower II stop at 4:50pm for a ride back to the Park & Ride Lot to board the bus to Boston, arriving at South Station at 6:10pm.

Those who wish to spend more time in Plymouth can take a taxi back to the Park & Ride Lot to catch a later P&B bus to Boston (the last bus departs at 9:15pm).

"We're very excited to offer the Passage to Plymouth program again this year, after launching it in 2015," said Chris Anzuoni, Vice President of P&B. "After hearing that Boston visitors were requesting an easy way to travel to Plymouth from Boston, we created the Passage to Plymouth to give them a fun 'car-free' day in America's Hometown."

Passage to Plymouth Ticket Fares:
Roundtrip tickets for adults are $27, children 5-18 are $14, and children under 5 are free.

America's Hometown Shuttle Ticket Fares:
All Day tickets are $12 for adults, $6 for children ages 5-18, and children under 5 are free. A Family Pass for 2 adults and 2 children is just $20.

TIHONET POND FISHING DERBY PLANNED

WAREHAM - Join the Wankinquoah Rod and Gun Club for its annual Tihonet Pond Fishing Derby, a great day for family, fishing, and fun.

The Derby will be held Sunday, June 5. Check-in begins at 4 a.m. Fishing begins at 6 a.m., and awards are at 2 p.m. The derby falls on the Massachusetts Free Fishing Weekend, therefore, fishing licenses are not required.

"It's a terrific day, whether you're a serious fisherman or you just want to enjoy some fun with your kids. It's amazing to see entire families enjoying the day on the pond," said John Sousa, President of the Wankinquoah Rod and Gun Club. "This event brings back many memories for people who have fished here for years and is also a great opportunity to make new friends," Sousa continued.

"This event has really grown in the last few years, just like the Associates program itself. We offer free breakfast, bait and lunch on site, and two different raffles. Best of all, it allows our Associates to show responsibility in planning, promoting, and running a legacy event for the club. I am so impressed that this event is basically run by teenage kids," said Shawn Clark, Associate Advisor.

Prizes will be awarded in multiple categories for adults and juniors. Enter the raffle for a chance to win great prizes like a 10' Tracker Jon Boat with a Trolling Motor (over a $900 value), a Necky Manitou Spork Kayak with Rod Holder (over $900 value), and Four Pre-Season New England Patriots Tickets. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Wankinquoah Rod and Gun Club Associates, the club's youth group. Prizes and raffles made possible through the generosity of the following local businesses: Nemasket Kayak Center, M & D's Bait & Tackle, Zecco Marine, Sullivan's Wine and Spirits, and The Shirt Shack.

Anglers can fish from shore, or bring their boat, canoe, or kayak. Nemasket Kayak Center in Tihonet Village is offering rentals during the derby. Representatives from the Wareham Harbormaster's Department will be on hand to discuss boat and water safety with attendees. Life preservers are required for anyone who would like to put a boat in for the event, though the Harbormaster will have a limited selection on hand to borrow if necessary. Also, there are no combustible engines allowed on Tihonet Pond.

The fee is $12 for adults and $3 for children age 14 and younger. The fee includes breakfast. Burgers and dogs will be available to purchase during the day.

Online registration and more information about the Associate's program may be found at www.wrgcassociates.weebly.com. Forms are also available at The Shirt Shack | 260 Marion Road | Wareham; Nemasket Kayak Center | 146 Tihonet Road | Wareham or M&D Bait & Tackle | 49 Main Street | Wareham. Pre-registration is offered, and highly recommended, on Saturday, June 4th, from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. at the Box Mill Hall, Tihonet Village, 150 Tihonet Road, Wareham. Derby day registration is also available. For more information, call 508-295-1000.

The A.D. Makepeace Company, host of the event, is the world's largest cranberry grower, the largest private property owner in eastern Massachusetts, and a recognized leader in environmentally responsible real estate development and land stewardship.

AdamsComm recognized #1 Allworx provider in New England for 2015
AdamsComm recently received a plaque from Allworx recognizing our achievement as the number one in sales for the New England region for 2015. We are extremely grateful for this honor on several levels.

First, Allworx is an award-winning maker of VoIP communication systems for small businesses with more than 60 Allworx partners in New England and 3,000 nationally. So being number one for a company like Allworx is a pretty impressive feat for a company like ours that's growing yet relatively small.

What makes this honor stand out even more is the breadth of Allworx' reach. AdamsComm is one of a network of Allworx partners that has helped the company deploy more than 40,000 VoIP systems and more than 600,000 IP phones across more than 25,000 business customers to date. In short, Allworx is a winning team and we're happy to be a part of it.

Of course, none of this is possible without the trust and patronage of our valued customers. Working with Allworx and being number one is really a win for all of us.

Thank you and here's to being #1 in 2016.
