The Amazing Faith Race "Marathon Faith"
This coming Sunday, we'll begin our summer worship series The Amazing Faith Race (an in-depth study of the book of Hebrews). Written near the end of the first century at a time and place when change threatened the church and the faith of Christians, Hebrews speaks a challenging and authentic word of hope.
We live in challenging, changing times, and God's Word still offers hope and guidance as we seek to "run the good race" together. It's a marathon, not a sprint, and scripture gives us sustaining spirited energy for the long run.
Enter the amazing faith race this Sunday, May 29th.

Church Survey - Now Online!
Your spiritual growth is of central importance to our church. Whether you're just starting to explore the Christian faith, or a long-time Christ-follower, we want to do everything we can to help you on your spiritual journey. Our mission is to change lives, strengthen families and impact our community.
To complete this mission, your input is invaluable to us. Please take a few moments to complete the 2016 Peace Church Survey. The results of this survey will guide our strategic planning process by identifying our church's strengths, as well as opportunities for growth and improvement. It will help us discern God's calling for Peace Church in the future. It is our hope everyone completes the survey (you do NOT need to be a member). Each individual can complete a survey (you are NOT limited to one per family). In order to pray and plan well, we need to hear from you!

All Church Work Day - June 11
Come help give our church home a summer cleaning! The Peace United Methodist Church Board of Trustees is sponsoring an All Church Work Day. There will be jobs for all ages and abilities. We have work to do both inside and outside the building. Mark your calendars now for
Saturday, June 11th from 7:30 a.m. - 12:00 noon.
Come enjoy a day of working together to make our facility and grounds cleaner, safer and more inviting. Don't forget to bring your gloves! Questions?

Women's Summer Study - "Lavender Springs" - June 17
As women we are pulled in many directions. Rarely do we have an opportunity to just sit, relax and be refreshed.
This summer join us for a relaxing and spiritually nourishing spa-themed study where you'll be reminded of God's faithfulness and the power of connecting with other women. Through
three refreshing sessions,
we will journey through the psalms of the Bible, studying the different kinds of songs, poems, and psalms that have inspired people for centuries. Learn how the psalms help us share our feelings, disappointments, celebrations, and doubts with a truly great listener: God.
You'll leave with a fresh approach to prayer and stronger faith!

This is always a special time of the year for our Youth Ministry. The fundraising for the mission trips has finished, the planning for the summer is done, and the youth are itching to get out of school. However, it's also the end of an era for some youth. Peace United Methodist Church will be seeing a wonderful group of youth graduate and head out on the next phase of their lives.
On Sunday, June 5th
during our Youth gathering, we will be having a special ceremony for our youth, reflecting on their time here at Peace.
If you are a parent of one of the graduates, or would like to be a part of this special night, please come and join us at
6:15 p.m.
Whether you can attend this service or not, please lift these graduates up in your prayers as they began the next step in their life journey. May they always feel that they are not only a welcome part of the family of believers here at Peace, but also active participants in the body of Christ. Special Benefit Concert at Peace - June 4
On Saturday, June 4, 2016 at 6:00 p.m. at the Peace, Steve Higgins and Friends will present "An Enchanting Musical Evening Remembering Clover Thompson." Proceeds will benefit the Clover Thompson Gordon Counseling Center.
This concert will be filled with sacred music from classical, contemporary, traditional and modern styles, ensuring that the entire family will be blessed, even the youngsters with discriminating taste!
The ticket price for Peace members is only $20.00 per person and they may be purchased in the Church Office. Come support this wonderful cause! Follow this link to hear some of Steve's music.

Florida Annual Conference in Orlando - Volunteers Needed
Hosting the 2016 Florida Annual Conference in Orlando (East Central District) provides many opportunities for folks from our local congregations to serve as volunteers helping provide radical hospitality throughout the event. Volunteers are needed for greeting, registration welcome, guest services and ushers.
Opportunities are available to volunteer as Ushers at Daytime Plenary and Evening Worship Sessions. Please be aware that the majority of the Usher positions require standing for portions of the shift time.
