Clean Sweep

June 5, 2016
10:00 AM to 1:00 PM
Cal Anderson Park

Every June the Chamber partners with Seattle Pridefest to organize Clean Sweep, a Pride Month kick-off event that draws 300-400 volunteers from around the neighborhood. Neighbors gather at Cal Anderson Park and are dispersed to scrub the streets. It's a great way to meet your neighbors and help make the place sparkle.

We'll feed you breakfast and lunch, give you a free "I Am Capitol Hill" shirt, and provide everything you,
your friends, and neighbors need to help clean the streets of Capitol Hill.

If you want to form a group with your business, church, or organization, have your team leader get tickets under their own name.  Individuals and groups can register at:

Shifting gears on a bicycle is about maintaining optimal effort for maximum efficiency. It's about making on-the-fly adjustments to keep moving over uneven terrain without getting exhausted. Shifting gears is a metaphor for resilience.

As Capitol Hill undergoes rapid changes, diverse groups are working to help the neighborhood address housing affordability, small business retention, transportation challenges, and preserving local arts & culture. How do community leaders incorporate public opinion into their vision? How do we ensure the neighborhood retains its health and character? Join us as five passionate community leaders introduce their projects in a rapid-fire series of Pecha Kucha-style presentations followed by an opportunity for each guest to participate in a facilitated discussion.
