Dear Baker Community,

As we head into the summer break, I want to thank you for the extensive and thoughtful participation our community has provided into Baker's search for our next Head of School. I also want to provide an update on the work of Baker's Search Committee and consultants to date. 

In April, our search consultants from Educators' Collaborative (EC) visited the school for two full days. They also surveyed our community and received feedback from 190 parents, faculty, staff, and alumni, as well as 166 students. Attached is a letter from EC summarizing the input they received. All of this feedback was utilized to develop our new Head job description and related candidate materials. 

EC has been identifying and vetting Head candidates since their visit and will continue to do so over the summer. On Friday, June 3, the Search Committee will meet and get a preview of candidates identified to date. We will also prioritize candidate criteria at that time, based on the community input. 

On Aug. 4, the Search Committee will meet to narrow the candidate pool to a list of semifinalists, who will be interviewed in person by the committee on Aug. 27. It is our goal to introduce 3-4 finalist candidates to the Baker community during a series of meetings in September.
