It saddens me to announce the untimely death of our esteemed founder and former CEO, Martin "Marty" G. Rochkind. 

Marty founded Insurance Marketing Center in 1987 with the idea of providing the agent/broker with the services and tools he desired and needed when he was a successful benefits broker.

It was with Marty's vision that Insurance Marketing Center grew to be the largest independently owned benefit brokerage in the DC area. One of Marty's greatest accomplishments was the creation of the "IMC Fair," a single day marketing and sales extravaganza attended by hundreds of brokers yearly.

Marty said many times, "When you attend a sales meeting you just have to get one good sales idea. If you don't, then you wasted your time." He made sure no one wasted their time at the IMC Fairs.

If you ever met Marty, you knew the importance of a good handshake, if you didn't have one he would let you know. That same handshake is how most of his deals were consummated and remained that way. His word was his bond.
