Following the presentation of the awards, the Chamber inducted three new members into the
Arlington Business Hall of Fame Scott McGeary of Washington Gas, introduced Emerson G. Reinsch by quoting a plaque at the Antonin Scalia Law School reading "If you seek his monument, look around you." The three 2016 inductees to the Arlington Business Hall of Fame were Bill Buck of Buck & AssociatesEmerson G. Reinsch (posthumously), and John Shooshan of The Shooshan Company

The  Arlington Business Hall of Fame  honors men and women with a connection to Arlington County who have demonstrated a long record of successful management, expertise and business skills, along with notable achievements and exceptional civic and community involvement.  Each of the individual honored, clearly meet these criteria, and many of Arlington's successes stand as a clear monument to their commitment and success.

These honorees join previous inductees: Sydney Dewberry, Russell Hitt, Ashton Jones, Sydney "Syd" Albrittain, Joel Broyhill, Fred Burroughs, Elizabeth Campbell, Preston Caruthers, James "Jim" Cole, David Guernsey, Jonathan "Jon" Kinney, Henry "Hank" Lampe, Dr. Jack P. London, Herbert Morgan, Neal Nichols, and Robert "Bob" Peck.

The theme of the breakfast became community, as almost all award recipients attributed their success to their support and involvement in Arlington. Inductee Bill Buck referenced his remarks from the 1999 Best Business Awards, when Buck & Associates was a recipient saying, "without community involvement, any real estate business is going to fall short," and that by getting involved "business will start to tick up!" This sentiment was echoed by the various recipients who thanked the many other organizations that they have formed relationships and partnerships with.

Now in its 92nd year of service to the Arlington business community, the Arlington Chamber of Commerce is pleased to recognize these businesses and individuals.

Special thanks to this year's Grand Sponsor Allied Telecom  and our other sponsors for making this event possible.
