Love God and love each other! This week we were in Luke 12:13-21 in a story that Jesus told about a rich fool. He was so focused on storing up for himself that he missed the opportunity to help those around him.  

Bottom Line:  When you focus on stuff, you can miss what matters. 

Our memory verse is: Philippians 4:12b  "I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want."  

Kids today are bombarded with tons of crazy messages about the importance of what they do, own, and wear.  It's hard to hear God's voice telling us to trust him with the details of life. Christ is what matters, not the label on our clothing or owning the latest technology. Be content knowing Christ is the answer and there is nothing more important than following him.
 
Please consider volunteering in Children's Ministry this summer! We have many opportunities on Sunday mornings, during VBS or WinShape Camp. Morning registration is full for VBS, but your kids can come if you volunteer for VBS! Contact me at [email protected] or 770-271-8855 ext. 304 for more info or to volunteer!
 
We have an immediate need for more volunteers in our special needs Sunday school classes at 9:30am and 11:00am. We are facing the possibility of having to cancel a class one Sunday a month. It breaks my heart that the families of our special needs kids will have to miss church due to a lack of volunteers. Please consider sharing a small amount of time with these folks so that they can spend an hour in worship without worrying about their kiddo!
