DIVERS RESCUED FROM STILLWATER COVE AT PEBBLE BEACH
CBS SAN FRANCISCO, 5/1/2016
At least two divers were rescued Saturday afternoon off the coast of Pebble Beach, according to fire officials.
At 12:47 p.m., units from Carmel Highlands Fire Protection District, Cypress Fire Protection District and Pebble Beach Community Services District, responded to the distress call at Stillwater Cove in unincorporated Monterey County, fire officials said.

BEAUMONT FIREMEN HAILED AS HEROES AFTER PULLING MAN FROM BURNING BUILDING
BANNING-BEAUMONT PATCH, 5/16/2016
When Beaumont firefighters Michael Esparza and Mark Bruns responded to a call of a "fully involved fire" at a local house on the morning of April 29, 2015, they didn't know for sure what they would find on arrival. But that uncertainty is exactly what they train for.
As they approached the location on Christie Street in Banning, the house was engulfed in flames. And there was no apparent way out for the person trapped insise.

IAFF URGES CONGRESS TO SUPPORT FIREFIGHTER CANCER REGISTRY ACT

Schaitberger joined members of Congress May 17 at a press conference to promote legislation establishing a national fire fighter cancer registry.
The
Firefighter Cancer Registry Act (H.R. 4625 / S. 2799) would allow novel research on cancer in fire fighters by providing scientists with new data.
