Just two weeks left.  It has been so long coming....and is finally here!

Our first team, Central Baptist Church of Douglasville, will arrive on Sunday, June 5 at 5:30 p.m.  We are honored that so many have wanted to be a part of our story.  Read below to see the email I received this week...

Pastor Stan Patterson,

I'm not sure if you remember me, but my name is Tim Widing and we met back in March when a few of the Georgia Tech BCM students came and helped with the beginning processes of rebuilding your church. I hope everything has been going well since then and that the rebuilding process has gone as smooth as possible. Since then, I have become the service coordinator for the Georgia Tech BCM and therefore in charge of setting up service opportunities for our ministry. The few of us that helped the first time had such a great time and saw what great potential this new building could mean for your church, that many more students are very excited about a potential opportunity of helping out with Church 213 this summer. I'm not sure where y'all are at with the process and how much we would be able to help, but we would be excited about helping in any way possible on a couple of Saturdays through out the summer. If you would be interested in allowing us to serve alongside you, please contact me by email.

Building Update
And now we have a roof over our heads!  The exterior of the building is now being completed so that it will be ready when the first team arrives on June 5.  

On a blessing note, we have been offered interior design services at no charge from an interior design team (God is SO good!) and our tent arrives in less than two weeks (see below)!

Graduate Recognition
We will be recognizing graduates this coming Sunday, May 22, at 10:00 a.m.  

If you are a graduate and would like to wear your cap and gown, please do so.  
 
Super WOW Meeting
If your child has signed up for Super WOW, there is a required meeting scheduled  this Sunday, May 22 after church.  Each child that is going should attend as well as a parent. The meeting will only take 10-15 minutes but all should attend. 
The Tent Is Arriving!
The 750 seat tent that we will be using all summer for our volunteers to eat and take breaks under, is arriving on Wednesday, June 1 at 5:00 p.m.

We are required by the company to have 10-12 men on site to help unload and erect the tent.  We would like to, at the same time, transport and set up all of the tables, chairs, cot, etc. for the volunteer's arrival later that week.  Let's make this a "Raise The Tent" fun night where we all meet to get ready for the first team.

By now, you should have heard from your team host about what you can bring to the Sunday Welcome Dinner for your team.  If you have not heard from your team host, please contact Nancy Patterson to find out what week you have been assigned to. If you HAVE heard from her, and have not responded yet, please do so!

Wonderful Wednesdays
During the summer months, instead of our usual Wednesday night Bible Studies, we will host a series of events at our Highway 213 property.  These events will allow us to spend time with the volunteers of the week and will begin on Wednesday, June 8 with our first team, Central Baptist Church of Douglasville.  Don't miss out on these fun times and a chance for you to get to say thank you to our volunteers!
 
Save The Date
The TENTATIVE date for the Dedication Service of our new building is Sunday, September 18 at 3:00 p.m.
