Eric Revis

Here at Upton Bass, we've worked with Eric a lot and we've gotten to know him quite well. One thing we can tell you about him is that he's every bit as cool and down-to-earth as he is talented. And there's not a single person out there who could deny Eric's talent! When it came time to choose an artist to kickoff our Upton Bass After Hours event series, Gary couldn't think of anyone better suited. This event is sure to fill up fast, so be sure to reserve your spot before it's too late!

The "Brescian"

We got a call one day from Eric Revis after he got our name from the label on a bass he played at a concert. At the time, Eric was playing whatever back-line instrument the management company could provide at each stop on their tour. These back-line basses are notoriously bad, but for this one occasion...Eric found himself actually enjoying the bass and he looked inside to see what it was! Eric's first bass from us was based on our old Hawk's platform and was a hybrid bass. In time he had it modified to have a removable neck...but the instrument was not built for the rigors of the road. In 2012 we built Eric a new bass...a fully carved "Brescian"  with our patented removable/adjustable neck system.

Orrin Evans

T wo time Grammy nominee and Pew Fellow, Orrin Evans has been recognized as one of the most distinctive and inventive pianists of his generation. In a short span of time Orrin has earned the titles of pianist, composer, bandleader, teacher, producer and arranger. The New York Times described the pianist as "...a poised artist with an impressive template of ideas at his command," a quality that has undoubtedly assisted in keeping Orrin at the forefront of the music scene.
