Yulista Announces Plans to Locate at
Middle Georgia Regional Airport
Yulista Logo
Yulista Aviation, Inc, a subsidiary of Yulista Holding, announced in January they will provide aviation prototyping, engineering and manufacturing support in a 21,000 square foot hanger located at the Middle Georgia Regional Airport. The Canadian company, will continue its efforts to support the U. S. Air Force and other Department of Defense and federal government agencies with its work on fixed wing and rotary wing aircraft

Something Exciting Is Brewing Downtown

The owners of Just Tap'd, Macon-Bibb County's downtown craft beer and pint cafĂ©, announced plans to open a brewery and restaurant on Second Street in Downtown Macon-Bibb County.  OCMULGEE BREWPUB expects to create 12 jobs in the 12,000 square foot space opening later this year.

CJ Korea Express Locates Warehouse Here 
CJ Korea Express
CJ Korea Express, part of the Korean based CJ Group, has located a logistics warehouse in 33,000 square feet in Ocmulgee East Industrial Park and will employ approximately 4 to start. CJ Korea Express will coordinate receiving and shipping of rubber for the new Kumho Tire plant.

Kumho Tire Opens 1 Million Square Foot Manufacturing Plant

Governor Nathan Deal, state, local and US Representatives attended the Grand Opening of Kumho Tire's 1 million square foot plant. Kumho plans to produce 4 million passenger and light truck tires a year, at this, its first tire manufacturing plant outside Asia.

MEDC Hosts State Project Managers
Developers Day
MEDC, the Macon Water Authority and Georgia Power hosted project managers from  The Georgia Department of Economic Development, The Georgia Ports Authority, AGL and Georgia Power for their Spring Developers Day.

The Macon Economic Development Commission (MEDC) is a public-private partnership funded by the Greater Macon Chamber of Commerce, Macon-Bibb County and the Macon Water Authority to act as the single point of contact for economic development projects.  MEDC is responsible for attracting new business and industry to Macon-Bibb County; working to grow existing business and industry and assisting the partners with the development of the Downtown Industrial District. MEDC works in partnership with the Macon-Bibb County Industrial Authority.
