That's a Wrap!
Dear Friends & Supporters,

"...brisk and compassionate." -The Chicago Reader

"CDE has not only painted a portrait of the specific struggles of female veterans, but a portrait of the strength and endurance of all women." - PerformInk

We are grateful to be able to continue our work share the stories of veteran, especially for women. As some of may know, we began our work on Veterans with Unraveling Bill, later known as Unraveling Veterans. These are stories that we are committed to creating space for them to be heard. Thank you to those of you that came to see one of the six shows. Special thank you to these individuals; without their additional support, the show would not have been as successful!

This past season, has pushed the boundaries and further demonstrated our mission to social justice oriented works (aka Performance With a Purpose). Though our season centered on the experiences of women, we unveiled the universality of these shared stories and the need for conversations to keep going. The conversations should not and will not stop once the show. We've reach new heights. Not only did we produce three successful productions, we began touring  Bindis and Bruises.
We also reached new fundraising goals by partnering with Aramark by raising over $10,000!   This has allowed us to keep arts programming in several schools that received massive budget cuts and our performance work.

Our 16th Season is around the corner. Stay tuned and check-in for the announcement of what's in store. We're excited for the projects and new endeavors headed our way.

Best,

Sara Maslanka
