Henriette Arnold's demo will concentrate on sunflowers and her approach to composition.
Educated in Haute Couture in 1955, Henriette began a forty-seven year career in fashion design. Her specialty was women's clothing; primarily evening and wedding dresses. Her first recollection of drawing was at the age of four which she has continued practicing throughout her life. She has studied oil painting under Al Rogoff, watercolor with Claire Wiest, mixed media wih Pat Moore, clay under Oaulette Davis, and Chinese brush painting with Ning Yeh.
In 1982 Henriette began concentrating on her art career in earnest which will remain a focus for life. Her current work includes all subjects; flowers, still life, Celtic design, landscape scenery and Chinese brush painting. Many of the paintings she has produced are from commissions.
For the past three years, she has taught watercolor and produced two art shows, each in winter in Hollywood and Pompano Beach, Florida, One of her students won a city contest and was second in a state contest.
