The Campaign for College Opportunity announced that through the adoption of the Basic Skills and Student Outcomes Transformation Program, California community colleges will soon have the opportunity to take advantage of resources that could help them redesign their remedial education courses and support the implementation of high impact, student-centered practices. This program has the potential to be a game changer for student success; allowing more students placed in pre-college level courses to reach their college dreams.
On January 21st, the California Community College Chancellor's Office released an application for colleges to apply for these funds and are sponsoring regional workshops to assist colleges with learning more about the program and submitting ambitious proposals.
