How to Grieve Your Tax Assessment Thursday - February 25 at 7:00 P.M. North Merrick Library 1691 Meadowbrook Road, Merrick

Following an update from the Nassau County Police Department and community updates from NCMCA President Claudia Borecky, the North and Central Merrick Civic Association will host a presentation on "How to Grieve Your Tax Assessment." With a 13 year record of successful tax assessment reductions, former member and Commissioner of the Nassau County Assessment Review Commission, Jeff Gold knows the ins and outs of Nassau's quirky tax assessment system.
Truth is that when you grieve your assessment, your taxes cannot go up. Another truth is that if you don't grieve your assessment, your taxes will go up to make up for the revenue lost from your neighbor who may have successfully grieved his assessment. It's a burdensome and unfair system in which most residents find that it is just too costly for them not to file.
Come to our meeting and allow Jeff Gold to walk you through the process and answer any questions you may have about your particular issue.
If you have any questions, please call Claudia Borecky at 972-6988 or email [email protected]. |
