Nearly Spring...
Ok, so it's not really nearly spring, but we're getting close! It's hard to believe, but we have only 72 days of school remaining! Time is flying and when we return our weekly schedule will be packed through to the end of the year.

Please be sure to take a few extra minutes to read this Weekly News. Apologies for its length, but there are a number of important bits of information and opportunities we don't want you to miss.

This has been a fun-filled week of field trips, projects, and even a puppet show as we head toward February break.

This morning we also kicked off our largest parent-run spring fundraiser - the 2016 Calendar Raffle, (please see below for details). Info will be coming home with your children today, please keep an eye out for those envelopes. HUGE thank you to the unstoppable Lisa Zonfrillo and Amy Green for their great work on this project!

Just today we received a lovely check for $320 from Target generated by the purchases many of you have made as part of Target's REDcard Program, which aims to help us 'Take Charge of Education'. Just another great way to give and get. Check into the program next time you shop at Target.

We wish our MFCS a wonderful vacation with tons of family time and giggles and even some sunshine (that would be nice!) and we will see you all in March!
One of the many wonderful elephants created by our students in art class. This one is by 6th grader, Noah.
School Clean Up Day!
Staycation this Vacation?
Consider spending Friday morning, February 26th from 9-11:30 here at school during our Community Clean Up Day. We will be working on our ongoing School beautification projects.

Childcare and a snack for the kiddos will be available.

If you can make it, please send an email to Meryl.Levin@millfalls.org . Please also let her know if you will be bringing any children, and how many.
2016 Lottery

  • Our final Info Session is on Saturday, March 5th, 10am.
  • The Lottery closes on March 9th at 5pm.
  • Our Lottery Day is March 15th.

Thank you for helping us welcome prospective families and for spreading the word!

You Say Goodbye, and I Say Hello
Thank you, Mr. John!
This morning we gave Mr. John, our Music Teacher here at MFCS for the last 1.5 years a love-filled send off. Today is his last day in that role. Mr. John has been generous and kind and shared his love of modern music with our Community. He will still be around from time to time, helping us keep our groove on. Please join us in thanking John for all his great work and wishing him well.

As we say goodbye to Mr. John, we prepare to welcome Rachel Pantazis who will be joining us in March as our new Music Teacher. Rachel hails from Manchester and has an outstanding background in music and theatre. She majored in English, with a concentration in Theater Literature and minored in Music at Plymouth State University. There she was heavily involved in the Department of Music, Theatre, and Dance. Currently, she teaches private voice lessons at the Seacoast Academy of Music and works with the Goffstown High School Drama Club. We look forward to getting to know Rachel and working together.
Network Navigators, Wireless Wonders
As we get ready for the upcoming Smarter Balanced Assessments, we have two special men to thank! Dave Sarvai and Greg DePasse have been tirelessly troubleshooting to bring our wireless service up to speed so that our assessments, now all done on our iPads and computers, will run as smoothly as possible. If you were at school at all on Wednesday, you would have seen these guys working their hearts out all afternoon and into the evening. Please join us in thanking them for their hours of toiling!

The count is in! Thanks to all of your generous and heartwarming contributions, we collected well over 300 cans, boxes, bags, and jars of food! We will be bringing the donations over to the NH Food Bank. This is a particularly meaningful time to donate, as the post-holiday season can often be a slow donation time for our community partners at the Food Bank.
