UD's National Leadership Consortium on Disabilities Development worked with Israeli leaders to help them better coordinate disabilities services. 

Steve Amendum, DCTE Faculty Scholar, received the LRA's 2016 Early Career Achievement Award for his research on literacy instruction. 

Carol Vukelich, CEHD interim dean, is co-chair of the new UD Partnership for Public Education committee, established to mobilize UD's research, educational and public service capacities to provide sustained assistance to Delaware's high-needs schools.
News You Can Use
CEHD has created Do2Learn, a maker space in the ERC, where students, faculty and alumni can learn to incorporate programming, 3D printing, gardening, video creation and more, into their curriculum. Grand opening: March 11. 

Looking to keep your kids entertained and educated this summer? CEHD offers camps for children from preschool to high school. Campers will learn about robotics, mindfulness, writing, coding, nature and more. Space is limited , so register today.

PHD student Alison Hooper received a national dissertation grant to identify strategies for home-based care providers to better prepare children for kindergarten. 
Olivia Blythe, a human services major, served an internship in India last summer, helping women and children rescued from the sex trade to create a better life.

March 1 If Elephants Could Talk: Racial Literacy  UD's School of Education & The Center for the Study of Diversity are hosting an evening lecture on racial literacy. Howard C. Stevenson, University of Pennsylvania, will speak at 5 p.m. in the Trabant University Center.

Alumni are invited to attend an information session about this post-graduate opportunity at 3 p.m. in Alison Hall 220.

March 5:  Educational Tech Conference PreK-20 educators are invited to this day-long conference to discover ways to better incorporate technology into their classrooms. V isit UDETC site to register.
