Welcome to POP!
Your Chamber team is always strategizing on how to make your membership go even further for you. With all the benefits that are provided to you as a member, there are always ways to improve upon them. Welcome to POP! (Power of Partnerships) POP is a Chamber Partnership program that we are engaging in with other local Chambers. POP events gives our members even more opportunities to network beyond the Manchester Chamber membership and start building relationships outside of our 500+ members. Check out these exciting recent POP events and keep an eye out for more. Don't miss these "supersized" networking opportunities!
NIXS Kitchen & Cocktails, GMCC POP Event with the South Windsor Chamber
On January 14 th the GMCC and SWCC celebrated the Grand Opening of NIXS Kitchen & Cocktails at Evergreen Walk. With over 100 people in attendance from both Chambers, there was no shortage of networking going on throughout the evening.
The food was incredible and the
P ower o f P artnership was quite evident.
Legislative Breakfast and Q&A, A POP event with the Tolland County Chamber
On February  4, the GMCC and the Tolland County Chamber proved that the
P ower o f P artnership works when educating businesses on the issues our state faces.  With CT ranking 47th for business friendly states, businesses wanted to know what the plans are for the new session to change this ranking.  Issues and concerns addressed by the six Legislators in attendance were: unemployment taxes, large companies leaving CT with no new companies to replace them, pension fund liabilities, motor vehicle issues, and the state needing to be held accountable for notifying businesses about new taxes.
Thank you to at&t for sponsoring this event.
GMCC and Tolland County Chamber host a POP event that Warmed Hands and Hearts

When Manchester's "EPIC" group and Tolland's "Moving Forward" Group plans an event, it POP 's! In it's second year, the Warming Hands, Warming Hearts event gained attention from Channel 3, with Kim Lucey airing a segment about the event on Superbowl Sunday, giving the event one last push for promotion before it took place on Wednesday, February 10th.  The event saw about 100 people from both Chambers attend, and nearly tripling the donations from last year with 2,400 hats, mittens, gloves, coats and scarves. The recipients of the warm
donations were Community Health Resources, Community Child Guidance Clinic, KidSafe and MACC Charities. Each of these organizations brought back about 600 much needed donations to their facilities. A warm thank you goes out to George at Georgina's in Bolton for hosting the event and providing all guests with his famous pizza and crudités. Thank you as well to United Bank for their generous monetary donation for each of the organizations and thank you to everyone who came out and donated.  You made this event
