Company Lock In 2016! Hello Company Families!

The Lock-In was awesome! Thank you to everyone for making it such a fun evening!     

As our first competition is drawing closer, we are in the process of making all of our final preparations! Please read through this entire email to ensure you don't miss any important information! 

We have created a CS Company Team App for your smartphones to use to keep everyone informed via push notifications! This will be especially useful during competitions to help reach all dancers in a particular routine quickly! 

We are asking for everyone to follow the directions in the right column to download this FREE app onto your phones ASAP so we can make sure everyone is included before the first competition!

Shoes & Tights! Please be sure to order the shoes/ color of tights you need in time for them to arrive before the  competition! ALL SHOES MUST BE ORDERED BY MARCH 1ST, UNLESS YOU'VE BEEN GIVEN AN EARLIER DEADLINE! See the side column for your specific information! 

Earrings! ALL dancers wear our Company rhinestone earrings! See the block below for more information!

Pre-Company Dancers!  If you have not ordered your hairpiece please do so soon! We have color swatches at the front desk for you to match your hair color.  The link to order your company hair is in the side column!

Rhinestoning! Thank you to all who have volunteered! We will email everyone when we are ready to work on that project!

Don't forget! T he solo/duet/ trio fees for the Rainbow Dance Competition are due by TOMORROW, by February 18th!
 
Solos: $115 per solo (add $30 for title competition)
Duets: $73 each dancer
Trios: $50 each dancer

Company & Pre-Company Earrings!
All of our dancers, Company and Pre-Company, wear our rhinestone Company earrings!  Many of you have these from last year, but anyone who is new to our team will need a pair. 

You receive one complimentary pair, after that you may purchase additional pairs. 

Replacement pairs are $5 for pierced and $7 for clip.  

If you are new and need a pair (or have lost yours and need to purchase a pair) please reply to me with your dancer's name and if they need PIERCED or CLIP earrings.  Thanks!
Production Rehearsal Breakdown for Sunday, February 21st!
Group 1: Tappers: 12:45-1:00pm
Group 2: Pyramid: 1:00-1:15pm
Group 3: Company 1-5 (including corps & tappers):  1:15-1:45pm
Group 4: ALL Production Dancers (including Pre-Company): 1:45-2:45pm
Production Costume Fittings  Sunday, February 21st!  Sign-Up for a Time!
Costumes for this year's production are individualized to each dancer. For example, one dancer may have red leggings, white top, black jacket and plaid hat while another dancer might have jeans, red top, black high top shoes, and a shirt to tie around their waist.

In order to get an awesome look for everyone, I'm asking that EACH DANCER sign up for a group fitting time THIS SUNDAY!  This will give me a chance to fit each dancer in pieces that I have already and find out what pieces I still need to purchase. I can fit up to 8 dancers in a slot. 

Signing up for a fitting time is EASY!  Simply click on the link below and select a time that DOESN'T overlap with your rehearsals. Then, meet me at the studio and we'll get your costume ready to go!

THIS SUNDAY, February 21 will be for Company 1-5 Dancers. Pre-Company dancers will be given a different time for fittings, so if you are a Pre-Company dancer, don't sign up for this round. All fittings will be in a group setting so dancers should wear a leotard allowing us to try costume pieces on without changing privately.

First: Download Team App onto your smartphone.

Then follow these steps:

1. Sign-up to Team App. You'll be sent an email to confirm your registration.
2. Log in. Then search for Center Stage Company and request access to the group(s) that apply to you.

For example, everyone should request access to join the  All Company group and then all of the group classes/ routines that you/ your dancer are in! 

We will use this App to send push notifications to your phone to give everyone immediate need-to-know information- especially during the competition season! 

If you don't have a smartphone (, reply to this email so you can be added manually and you'll receive email notifications instead of push notifications to your phone.

Note on Communications and Being Informed!
We know communication is important! Because of this, we have made getting the information you need and want to know to all of you one of our main priorities this season!

We have started sending out this weekly newsletter, have added a Company Webpage on the studio website which is updated throughout the week, and have created a smartphone app solely to communicate with Company families! 

Still, being able to reach everyone with all of the information at the same time is difficult and we need your help to keep you informed! Please be sure to read these newsletters and reference the Company Webpage for information!

There are a TON of details I'm taking care of right now for each routine and I'm making decisions constantly. When a parent comes up and asks me a specific question, I might have just then decided on the answer and will tell my decision or thoughts to the parent who asked. Then, I continue teaching the rest of  the evening  and am unable to share the decision until later with everyone.

If that parent then goes and tells another parent, who tells another parent, etc..., inevitably someone will be unintentionally left out! Parents may then question why one parent knows, but not another. Also, please know, I may change my mind about the decision when I'm able to focus my thoughts later in a more quiet setting than at the studio surrounded by students, music and parents- this could mean that the decision that has traveled via the grapevine will no longer be correct! 

Please know that I WILL get the information out to everyone either via this newsletter, on the Company webpage, via an email to your class or even a push notification from our Cs Company Team App as soon as I can! Until you see it in some form of note from me or another CS Staff, please don't consider the decision final and please know that I do not intend to leave anyone uninformed!
