This workshop examines how the dynamics and impact of Culture is the most powerful factor in any organization or church. The importance of assessing and defining culture is explored and how relationships drive & sustain vitality and overall health of a church or organization. An in-depth look at how these factors affect change and growth that will determine if your organization has a Inspiring-Motivating Culture, or a Stagnant-Discouraging Culture, or even a Toxic-Unhealthy Culture, that either enables or derails vision, and nurtures or stunts growth.
Assessment tools are shared as well as methods to produce a transformational environment that encourages people and organizations to grow and reach for their greatest potential.

The Albert A. Smith Lecture

February 25 @ 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm

Kate Lynch, a New York-based researcher, educator, and philosopher, will present the results of her research on "The Reformed Church, Rutgers, and the Revolution." Colonel Theunis Dey, a charter member of Queens College (Rutgers), a member of the New Jersey Assembly and colonel of the Bergen County Militia, and a host to Gen. Washington and his "family" (Hamilton, Greene, Knox, LaFayette, Varick and the Schuylers), embodied the spirit of religious and political independence as a fourth generation Dutch-American. Many of Dey's sons and daughters and other Dutch-Americans who fought in his regiment carried their religion with them to western New York, founding Reformed Churches in the 1820s in Lodi, Ovid, and Tyre in Seneca County whose ministers were graduates of the NBTS.

The suggested donation for lunch is $10.00/person, free for all NBTS students, faculty, and staff.
